Vertrel™ are special hydrofluorocarbon-based fluids with zero ozone depletion and low global warming potential. Chemours™ Vertrel™ was introduced to the market as the ideal replacement for ozone-depleting solvents such as CFC-113, 1-1-1-trichloroethane, HCFC-141b, HCFC-123, and HCFC-225, as well as solvents with high global warming potential such as perfluorocarbons (PFCs).
Vertrel™ unique properties include high flash point, evaporation on heat, excellent solvent retention, low surface tension, low viscosity, non-flammability, chemical and thermal stability, low toxicity, and being easily recoverable by distillation. Vertrel™ and its azeotropes and mixtures are compatible with a wide range of materials, metals, plastics, and elastomers.
Vertrel™ is compatible with most plastics, elastomers, and metals, making it suitable for multiple applications in various industries while providing safe handling.

Chemours™ Vertrel™ MCA is a proprietary azeotrope of Vertrel® XF and trans-1,2 dichloroethylene. It is ideal for use in vapor degreasing. Its improved solvency makes it very effective for precision work and special cleanings, including hard-to-remove soils.
